Clipping coupons is all well and good, but penny pinching will only get you so far. You might be overworked but with the internet there are tons of ways to earn a little more on the side. Check out these seven ways to earn a little more than just your living.

1) Utilize the sharer economy

Walk a dog; rent out your room. With new apps being created every day you can make money from a million side hustles, from driving a car, to renting yours out. All in all these are great ways to make a few bucks on the side.

2) Invest

Any person with lots of money will tell you, they’re not just letting it sit around. Investment might sound like something best left to the Wolf of Wallstreet, but in reality there are lots of simple and reliable ways to invest. Index funds, for instance, are groups of investments that require no effort on your part: This is what’s known as ‘passive investing,’ and can cost less than a percent of what you earn. Warren Buffet himself recommends this as a great form of investment for the average joe. This is perfect if you don’t follow the stock market and wouldn’t know the difference between the Dow Jones and the NASDAQ without some serious Wikipedia research.

3) Teach English online

Believe it or not, there are actually people who will pay you to talk. Skyrocketing markets in China, Korea, and Japan are creating a huge demand for English, preferably from a native. The best part is that you don’t even need to leave your house--much of the demand is online. Just one quick Google led me to this application form but there are thousands of options. All of these are great ways to make money, especially if you like kids.

4) Sell your junk

Clothes, old furniture--Selling this is a great way to make a quick buck. If you don’t have junk of your own, you can always find it. Before summer break starts, college students tend to dump their furniture and old books on the sidewalk, stuff that’s pretty nice. Just be a little creative--there are a number of Facebook groups as well as good ol’ Craiglist which you can use to sell your stuff.

5) Check out Fiverr

Fiverr is an online site for any kind of freelancing, from writing resumes to doing graphic design. Any skill you have--or almost any--you can sell on Fiverr, setting your price, experience and a nice photo. This is a great and flexible way to make some money, and if you do good work your ratings will show it.

6) Become a tutor

Still remember filling out those bubbles on the SATs? There’s parents who will pay big for you to repeat the nightmare, either privately or through a number of agencies. If standardized testing isn’t your thing, there’s plenty of demand for after school tutors of all kinds, and you can pick your subject. With websites like Tutor Me you don’t even have to leave your house--it’s all online. Chances are, there’s a skill you have that others need. Just hop online and take a look around.

7) Open a new bank account

There are plenty, I mean plenty, of banks looking to bribe new clients into opening bank accounts in cold, hard cash. Chase, for instance, will give you $200 for a checking account and an extra $150 to open a savings. Suntrust will give you $300. For a list of banks (and all the catches) check out this list. All in all this is one of the easier ways to make money fast.
